Testosterone Test Kits
Testosterone Tests for Hormone Balance
Both men and women need balanced testosterone levels for optimal health. Our testosterone saliva test kits and testosterone blood spot test kits are an accurate and reliable way to check for testosterone deficiency or excess.
Take the test at home and mail to the lab in a prepaid mailer. Confidential test results include comparisons, charts and analysis. Once the sample arrives at the lab it usually takes 3 to 5 business days to process. Results are mailed to you and are also available via email by request.
Testosterone Saliva Test - Free Testosterone
Free testosterone is, generally speaking, a measure of testosterone hormone that has reached the tissues and is having an effect on the body. Other forms of testosterone may be bound up and not available to the cells.
For the testosterone saliva test, spit into a tube and send the sample to the lab in a prepaid mailer.
Testosterone Blood Spot Test - Whole Testosterone
Whole testosterone is, generally speaking, a measure of the testosterone being made by the body, for men by the testes and adrenal glands, and for women, by the ovaries and adrenal glands.
For men who want to test both Free Testosterone and Whole Testosterone, we recommend a saliva testosterone test and a blood spot testosterone test, with samples taken at the same time.
The blood spot test involves a finger stick and collection of blood drops onto a card. The dry card is sent to the lab in a prepaid mailer.
NY State residents:
New York State health law prohibits the testing of blood spot specimens collected in or mailed from New York and prohibits the transmission of blood spot laboratory data NY physicians or residents. New York residents may order the saliva test.
