TRADITIONAL USES
Traditionally used for nasal and sinus discomfort caused by colds, sinusitis, rhinitis, and allergies with symptoms such as sinus pain, itchy nose, runny nose and nasal congestion.

DOSAGE
Adults: 3-6 tablets at a time, three times a day.
Children: Crush one tablet for every 25 lbs. of body weight. Mix with food or syrup.
SUGGESTIONS
For best results, take most Chinese herbal pills on an empty stomach with warm water. Allow half an hour before taking food or other medicines.
Dr. Shen's Sinus and Nose Pills are meant to address the symptomatic aspect of disease, known as the Branch. To treat the deeper, causative aspect of the disease, known as the Root, see a qualified practitioner of Chinese Medicine.
PRACTITIONER NOTES
For year-round or persistent allergies due to Liver Heat Rising or Liver Qi Stagnation, combine with equal amounts of Dr. Shen's Free & Easy Pills.

Tablets are most potent when taken on an empty stomach and given at least half an hour before food or other supplements are taken. If the user experiences digestive difficulties, tablets should be taken with food or with Dr. Shen's Stomach Curing Pills.
FORMULA DYNAMICS
The chief herbs in this formula, Angelica Dahurica (Bai Zhi) and Flos Magnolia (Xin Yi Hua) unblock the sinuses and the nasal passages.
These herbs are assisted by Fr. Xanthium (Cang Er Zi), and Fr. Liquidamber (Lu Lu Tong) which mollify allergic sensitivity, while Chrysanthemum (Ju Hua) and Pueraria (Ge Gen) pacify uprising Heat and release the muscles of the head.
Adjuctive herbs Agastach Pogostemi (Huo Xiang) adjusts the dispersement of fluids, and Liguisticum Wallichi (Chuan Xiong) is used to circulate Qi and blood and as a messenger to direct the formula to the head.

Magnolia Flos, also known as Magnolia Bud, Xin Ye Hua: Expells Wind, Relieves Surface, opens nasal passages. Constituents: Cineole, a-ipinene, salicifoline.
Agastach Pogostemi, also known as Patchouli Plant, Huo Xiang: Transforms Dampness, Releases the Exterior, Harmonizes the Center, Expels Dampness. Constituents: Methylchaviocol, anethole, anisaldehyde, d-limonene.
Pueraria Radix also known as Kudzu Root, Ge Gen: Clears Heat, Releases Muscles of Upper Body, Nourishes Fluids. Constituents: Puerarin, puerarin-xyloside, daidzin, B-sitosterol.
Chrysanthemomi Flos, also known as Chrysanthemum Flower, Ju Hua: Disperses Wind, Clears Heat from the Eyes, Pacifies the Liver. Constituents: Adenine, choline, stachydrine, Vitamin B1.
Liguisticum Wallichi also known as Szechuan Lovage root, Chuan Xiong: Invigorates the Blood, Circulates Qi, Alleviates Pain. Constituents: Alkaloids, phenols, lactones, ferulic acid.
